Around 76 locations were raided in India as part of a crackdown on phony tech support scam calls::Microsoft and Amazon are teaming up with law enforcement and India's Central Bureau of Investigation to combat tech support scam calls.

$800 million in losses for the scammed seems like really good money for the scammers. I can see why they want to be involved in this business.

And it's usually a side hustle. Something they do at an actual call center during it's off hours.
