I just checked GitHub and it looks like the last branch update was 3 months ago, is the Dev MIA or is this a planned break?

Actually it’s not compatible with the new authentication method in Lemmy 0.19 so as soon as that rolls out to your instance you’ll not be able to log in and there will be missing posts and problems with the list of communities.

Some instances have already upgraded.

Voyager is the king of Lemmy apps at the moment, is being actively developed. Mlem is also being developed.

Eternity is a really good one, it's a port of Infinity for reddit, and I love it. You can find it in Fdroid and I think the playstore too. So far it's the best lemmy app (besides liftoff) IMHO, and I tried them all.
