Sometime within the last 24 hours, my dear little Biggs passed peacefully in his sleep (hexbear.net)

At the age of about 18 months, my little rodent went away quietly in his sleep, as I have now learned cleaning his enclosure this morning. I know hamsters have such tragically short lifespans, yet it never makes the pain of saying goodbye any easier

I barely woke up an hour ago and don't really know what to say right now, but everyone here deserves to be in the know. You all have been so kind to Biggs and I. I only had him for a year and two whole days but they were special to me and special to a shocking amount of people on this website

Rest in peace Biggs. You were my favorite hamster of all time and always made my day brighter whenever your photo appeared on this silly little website.

Thank you for taking care of our little comrade and hope Bigg's passing isn't too painful. I'm sure you made Bigg's life filled with joy and tasty snacks.
