All good points. I don't think I could sleep sitting up overnight, so that is why I would opt to fly. The only attractive thing about the train is I can try sleep laying down. I guess I will give the new train a try when it comes along but it isn't sounding great considering the length of the journey
I do like the start of the article where he talks about the dream train sleeper journey.. it sounds magical
@kowcop @naevaTheRat Heads up @timrichards, there's quite a discussion about your article over on Lemmy.
we're on lemmy. In Aussie Zone. Where else is article?
@naevaTheRat The author (Tim Richards) is a fairly regular Mastodon user. (Lemmy posts also appear on Mastodon.)
I thought I'd tag him in so he can see the discussion...
Oh did you mean there's a large discussion on masto? you wrote lemmy and I got confused
I think they thought Tim richards wouldn’t realize the conversation was here on lemmy otherwise. With the username tagging, this user could be accessing the thread through mastodon
right I can't read
@ajsadauskas @kowcop @naevaTheRat Everyone loves talking about trains. :)
I don't even know what a train is
