Not a user of discord, by what are the reasons people use nitro for ? And who would be the audience to purchase this ?

Non shitty camera/streaming quality. I spend time with my daughter on discord so I want the best possible experience as we play and laugh together.

The choice is made for me as a 2nd class Linux user lol

Try vesktop, it makes discord actually work properly on Linux (among other things)

Neat, will do!

Larger file size uploads was my main incentive.

I just like using animated emotes

Sorry but, How are kids/teens able to sustain expenditures for Animated Emotes? Isn’t this a luxury product purchase ?

A lot of teens in the US have jobs; I've worked since I was 14. At $10/month that's like 1 fast food meal, and if you use it as your major chat platform that's easily worth it for the convenience it offers you. And teens don't generally have other major bills to pay.

Understand. Thank you for explaining. Why isn’t Element more widely used ? Isn’t that a free and FOSS based ?

Trying to gauge why discord paid version even is a thing.

Well I’m an adult with a job and I find the emotes fun
