The Sachsenring P 240 "Repräsentant" was based on the Horch P 240, a luxury car built in East Germany. Five cabriolets were built in celebration of "20 Years of GDR" in 1969 and used for military parades.

Such a compelling mixture of style I love and... trunks? That grill is fantastic, but the rest of the car appears to be made from more recycled rumps than a cheep hotdog. And yet somehow I still love it.

Same here, the sloped grill makes it stand out IMO. The rest is kinda bland but it fits the style of the GDR perfectly.

I love the parallel evolution of style, I hoover up YouTube urban exploration videos that give me a little glimpse behind the iron curtain. I can imagine that grill making its way into so many different hot-rods, it's a shame there were only 10 ;-)
