I knew the can opener on my swiss army knife would finally come in handy one day!
And my axe!
No seriously. It took 80 years for someone to invent a can opener. Prior to that, cans had to be opened with knives, hammers, or axes.
And just recently you can find a new type of can openers that literally disassemble the upper lid leaving no sharp edges!
