It doesn't need to fix every issue. It just need to be better on the areas where it matters to most people.

yeah, no ads, no algorithms, no shitty monetisation attempts, no central authority limiting how people can access it, tons of different clients to choose from, etc.

Yeah we are all so sick and tired of that shit now. Enough is enough. They are talking about social media being over, but I think it's just going to be more spread out. Platforms like this one will be appriciated by those of us who value the things you mentioned.
