40 peso fare?
A congressman argued that for jeepney modernization to push through under the "PrObLeMa NyO nA mGa TsUpEr YaN", the fare has to be 40 pesos or roughly 10k/day in earnings, whichever is higher.
Naturally, those calling the drivers drama queens and pounding their chests about the environment, disagrees with it. Bakit daw mga pasahero sasagot, bakit hindi gobyerno — which is 1000% the reason why the drivers have been picketing for years, lmao.
haha of course ayaw nila na sa kanila maipapasa yung bayad... they only think of themselves, kasi if they really wanted to help the environment and the drivers, then they should step up instead of virtue signaling blah blah blah. but then again the jeepney modernization program should have had more government support financially anyway, especially considering that they seem adamant on forcing it...
