Mildly surprised they didn’t just deny it. Good on them for at least recognizing their role and duty for recompense.

They've been denying it for over 25 years. They're only admitting fault now because there is absolutely no choice left.

Fujitsu escaped huge lawsuit because Post Office behaved so badly in Horizon scandal

There’s always a catch lmao. Thanks for pointing this out.

Don't give them any credit. Companies will only ever admit wrongdoing if their hands are forced, and even then, "it's the cost of doing business". It's like American companies who say "oh yes, people should unionise!", whilst smiting their own workers who attempt it.

Even if they are forced to do compensate everyone who was affected, the cost will pail in comparison to the amount of money lining the pockets of the twats who benefitted from the suffering.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
