"uphold international law"
There's no requirement for other countries step in to prevent other countries from doing things in international law.
If that was the case, the US would have been required to invade China, India, Most of Africa, and even itself...
Why do people think International law is some sort of policing of other nations?
"International law"... is what countries claim to defend when it suits their interests.
For better or for worse, there is no entity capable of enforcing any laws on a global scale. Maybe in some years the Global AI Consensus manages to pull something like that... but some say it won't happen, so who knows.
You say this as if the US weren't behind most atrocities in the world. Of course they won't do anything.
Doing something about International Law on international waters is a totally different matter than within the the borders of a sovereign nation.
This article wants the UK and US governments to uphold international law in Gaza.
That's what I was pointing out is not a real thing.
