They all know the war is all but lost. At this point it's hanging like a stone around Genocide Joe's neck and the republicans will undoubtedly use it to attack him as election season plods on. Asking for more money a few months from now will just give them opportunities to grandstand about fiscal policy and keep his failure in the news cycle. So Zelenskyy is gonna get taken behind the shed and done like Old Yeller. Figuratively by his US puppet masters, and very likely literally by the Nazis surrounding him.
