Funnily enough it wouldn't in the UK. Most don't have any ac. But I can see that hot countries struggle

Aren’t summers getting quite warm there as well to the point that more people are getting/needing AC? I thought I read something about that back in like July.

Oh absolutely. Gets up to 30s but rarely in Scotland. Londoners need ac but the funny thing is. More people get ac and you literally warm up the city. The more ac the more heat and it's just a viscous circle.

It's also kinda infuriating that people can't be uncomfortable. Oh it's a bit warm. I won't do something about it. I'll just shove on ac. Fix the issue. Kill the planet because you can deal with being uncomfortable for a single second.

If every single person gets ac then ac no longer works. Planet is dead.

30c is hot enough that you have to be careful about your body temperature and it can be very dangerous for the elderly.

True. But the elderly wouldn't be able to afford ac. So kinda a null. Can barely afford to hear themselves in the winter.

Discussion of climate, how it is changing, activism around that, the politics, and the energy systems change we need in order to stabilize things.

As a starting point, the burning of fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent deforestation and release of methane are responsible for the warming in recent decades: Graph of temperature as observed with significant warming, and simulated without added greenhouse gases and other anthropogentic changes, which shows no significant warming

How much each change to the atmosphere has warmed the world: IPCC AR6 Figure 2 - Thee bar charts: first chart: how much each gas has warmed the world. About 1C of total warming. Second chart: about 1.5C of total warming from well-mixed greenhouse gases, offset by 0.4C of cooling from aerosols and negligible influence from changes to solar output, volcanoes, and internal variability. Third chart: about 1.25C of warming from CO2, 0.5C from methane, and a bunch more in small quantities from other gases. About 0.5C of cooling with large error bars from SO2.

Recommended actions to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the near future:
