Anyone know what I mean when I say that I can no longer watch movies without some kind of intentionality in mind?

When I was younger, that was something that I didn’t consider whatsoever. Epitome of 
I kinda wish I could turn it off and on but that hasn’t seemed possible. Feels like I’m always reading into what used to just be slop and can’t really pinpoint when things changed 😅
Does this make sense?
My partner refers to me as the 'ruinor' when it comes to watching slop. I've learned to at least hold my comments until after the show is over. The only way to turn it off for me is to not watch closely and intently. Basically the more invested I am in the world building, the worse it is.
