It's the activity that matters, not the subscribers.
The activity is pretty good so far though. Gotta have patience for good things!
Activity seems great to me for how confusing some say the fediverse is and avoid it.
I feel like the people who are pirating (beyond online streaming sites) are a little more technically inclined anyways so the fediverse shouldn't be too much of an issue to navigate.
