Alternative to google books? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

Do you know any app that deals nicely with epub and has both web and android version and syncs but isn't google books? I would rather not use anything google because of privacy reasons.

There's Calibre for a local option. It doesn't have an android app itself, but it will connect to android and manage your ebooks. https://calibre-ebook.com/
