Naive, more like. Migration to/from somewhere tends to always come with mistrust or disdain for that origin wherever they arrive (my grandfather complains about Mediterraneans, which is the most unique racism I've encountered yet). Until humanity figures out how to stop reacting this way, freedom of movement will always be a source of tension.
