This would be bankruptcy number seven-ish?

[-] gregorum@lemm.ee 60 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Trump has never declared personal bankruptcy. This would be a huge blow to him, as everything from his business empire to his personal wealth, would be gone.

I wish, but I'm sure he parked ample sums with his children and in-laws. He'll never be poor, if only because he'd rather be dead.

[-] gregorum@lemm.ee 25 points 7 months ago

A smart person would’ve done that. Trump is neither smart nor generous.

Didn't his son in law get billions from Saudi despots in return for access to classified documents?

[-] gregorum@lemm.ee 13 points 7 months ago

That’s probably why he got those billions. Which raises an interesting question: why isn’t Jared helping him out?

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 2 points 7 months ago

Because Jared is smart enough to let Trump burn.

Most of Trump's children are finally wising up and realizing that he's absolutely not going to dodge all of the shit here, and keeping close or supporting him could mean getting caught in that net.
