That's nice. Isn't this tech like 10+ years old?
I've heard their only distinction is a somewhat denser set of connections. They can connect to more nerves than equivalent devices, but not a game changing number more. Aside from that, yeah, this is decade old tech.
Yeah every time this thing comes up I go “Wait that’s not new there are people doing that in the building I work in”
There's literally undergrad student clubs at my school doing this.
The student clubs are doing brain surgery?!
they don't do the implants themselves but they do the signal processing, both in terms of the hardware and software side. They do design non-invasive interfaces too.
