Liminal spaces are the subject of an Internet aesthetic portraying empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, and often surreal. Liminal spaces are commonly places of transition (pertaining to the concept of liminality) or of nostalgic appeal.

That literally looks like the halls at my first job. On the left you have the storage room (with the old office chairs stacked literally floor to ceiling). Then the next door is a janitor closet.
Down the hall to the left is the training classrooms. To the right is the indoor entrance where visitors and new hires check in (not the employee entrance).
The next door on the left is a board room where the big wigs meet. The next door is the board room's attached mini kitchen. (There were sometimes leftover donuts in there!)
To the right, just out of view is the accessible bathroom. This one is much more private than the other bathrooms on the campus.
Finally the dark area at the end of the hall opens up to the part of the call center where I worked. My area was on the right side facing the camera. There's just enough space there that my desk would be out of frame (behind the accessible bathroom)
