It is sometimes misleadingly called silence in the biz, though room tone is more appropriate.
Totally, but the context is important. Everyone in that environment should (hopefully) understand that when they say silence, they don’t mean literal silence.
I was wondering how far I had to scroll to see somebody say "room tone" THANK YOU!
