Who cares? At this stage (post Ukraine funding) he could pkuk right off for all I care.

[-] jeffw@lemmy.world 13 points 5 months ago

That would be great if Ukraine never needed funding and the US didn’t need any bills to pass. He’s shown he willing to bring up bills without full GOP support, which is better than some of the alternatives

He also brought a law to make illegal voting illegal. He’s a culture war shithead.

[-] fluxion@lemmy.world 6 points 5 months ago

Unlike the other esteemed and competent members of the GOP who would replace him

Wasn't illegal voting already illegal? What did he do exactly?

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 5 months ago

Culture war. Made it illegal for non-citizens to vote. Which was already illegal. Don't you feel better now?

What are you talking about? I'm not American, I'm confused. I'm not trolling I'm genuinely confused. I don't get how he can make something illegal if it already was illegal.

They passed a bill to make it illegal to vote if you're not a citizen. Completely meaningless bill because that was already illegal. It's like the small towns that passed bills banning sharia law when Obama was in office. Stupid conservatives scared of everything except reality.

I don't believe there are any explicit rules against redundancy in laws.

It plays into the hands of the jackasses that still pretend that the election was stolen from Trump through illegal votes.
