What the comrades in this thread seem to be missing so far is that this will also increase prices of electric vehicles that were made in America. A lot of these vehicles use batteries that were made in China, and these batteries will be affected by the tariffs. The increased prices for batteries will be passed on to the consumer. Tesla and Ford use these batteries. This is going to make American EVs even less competitive with the EVs from other countries in some important ways.
