United Kingdom
General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
Because you're the sort of person that says "ooh both sides are the same", but firstly that isn't true they are very different political parties otherwise they would literally be the same party, they have existed for long enough they would have homogenized by now, and secondly even if it was true, refusing to engage in the political system will simply ensure that it continues to exist.
At least everyone else is trying to improve their lot rather than just moaning about it. Which is you've elected to do. Complaining without action is literally useless, if that's all you're going to do I'd rather you did it quietly somewhere else.
What is the point in announcing to the world that you are a stubborn jackass? Feel for you to be a stupid jackass but don't tell us about it we don't care.
You have no idea what kind of person I am. You're jumping to conclusions.
Not voting doesn't imply not improving one's lot. I have not elected to not improve my lot.
I'm not going to reduce myself to your level by telling you what I think you are.
