You use compact view correct? Large view shows the full photo

You can click on the post to comment, at which point the bigger thumbnail with the flag is shown.

Very preferential, I would say. I use a larger view ever since my app started supporting swipe gestures to vote and reply and such. 👆 Then everything doesn't need to be so close together and close to my thumb anymore.
