I just checked and not available for me here in California.
Why would i use this app vs what i currently have which is a pinned webpage? I dont have ads. I can easily navigate. Auto dark mode. I can search comments. What does this have that i dont currently?

This app is immensely more responsive and less janky than a web app

There are so many small features that might not sound significant, but together they'll add up and after you get used to them, you can't live without them anymore. Things like font size, gif/video preloading, more supports for 3rd party image/video host (so you can view them without leaving the app), ability to edit/crop image before you can upload it, tagging, and so much more.
