I'm sorry guys but I don't think I can vote today. I just don't have it in me to fly to Britain, get citizenship and then vote. Maybe next time. I'm really sorry.

If you're a Canadian citizen, you can skip the "get citizenship" part. So maybe you can afford to reconsider in light of this new info?

Unfortunately the Canadian government discriminates against me because I was born in the Midwest and have never been to Canada.

Yes, provided they're living in the UK. Same with any Commonwealth country, such as India, Uganda, Australia, Tuvalu, etc. Even if they're just living as a student.

I think there were provisions in place for people who moved here before brexit to keep their right to vote. Apart from Ireland

No, its OK, all European citizens van vote in local elections where they reside in the EU. Wait, no.
