Afternoon everyone,

I wanted to go over a few points related to pricing, stats and the roadmap

Pricing

  1. Sync for Lemmy is completely free with ads (the same as Sync for Reddit)

  2. You can remove ads in the account picker or drawer for a one time fee of ~$20

  3. Sync Ultra also removes ads but it's not required

  4. I'll be working on regional prices over the coming weeks

There are now 24k installed users up from 100 the previous day!

I'm going to be spending the next few days going through all of the comments / messages and fixing any crashes.

As always thanks for the support and hope you're liking Sync!

Can you add an option to use the device haptic engine, like the ones on Google Pixels, instead of the vibration motor for swipe actions?

This this this! And if it's somehow possible, override the system's battery saving settings that often disables all haptics outright.

The swipe actions on posts and comments no longer vibrate at all for me on pixel 6a. They did with reddit sync. I'm missing that a lot for some reason, good feedback to know which swipe action I'm on, and satisfying for an upvote. I didn't know there was a difference in vibration motor vs "haptic engine", but I'm all for more haptic feedback with the swipe actions.

The haptic engine is used when swiping up to your app switcher for example. Vibration motor is used for calls and notifications.
