Seeing how he looks everyday more like a zombie god may call him up soon.

As a non-American I was wondering what happens if he dies let's say 1 week before the vote. Kamala becomes president and also the candidate?

Yes, this is why Kamala looks to be the best alternative. She is part of his campaign so if he was to step down she would inherit all the fundraising their campaign has done so far.
