The “Netflix of anime” piracy site abruptly shuts down, shocking users

edit I get it, this doesn't replace a p2p site. I was just watching Frieren via piratebay and thought it was so awesome that I wanted that the makers of it get some money from me watching it so I switched to crunchyroll.
I used it for a while, until they put some old shows (1990 era) I was in the middle of watching behind a paywall.
I get it for new shows, but I was happily watching old stuff with ads blocked by ad-block. Theres probably a reason for the change, but I can't guess why. /s
They were also down every other week, so I wasn't going to pay for something I could only use 75% of the time.
Mehh their web player was pretty awful back when I used it and wasn't worth the subscription.
