Other discount retailers with overlapping product ranges like B&M and The Range are probably eating a lot of Wilkos market. They are often cheaper, and seem to have more branches in out of town retail parks which is more convenient for shoppers also visiting the supermarkets. Most Wilkos seem to be in town centres, at least they are in my area.

Online competition probably isn’t helping either though.
