Hopefully downvotes will never mean anything else than a number, since being a non leftist on Lemmy is though… Kinds makes me not want to participate.
Why do you care about downvotes? You sharing your opinion and perspective is what makes the platform better. Other people clicking an arrow means nothing :)
No idea, guess some psychological effect. It's dumb, but that's how I feel about it.
then go to an instance that doesn't have downvotes... Admittedly those instances are also almost exclusively liberal or leftist tho lol
Doesn't make sense since afaik majority of people here are left leaning.
Also, stop calling liberals to what you think are progressist leftists. A liberal is not that.
