Well, this event will definitely be exploited by Trump’s team and he will be strengthened. Just like happened with Bolsonaro and the stab.
Unfortunately I think Trump will be reelected.
Or we get a bunch of copycats.
Biden gets shot. Trump gets shot.
Future debate, Trump brags about how he got assassination attempts and Biden goes "No way Jose, I got assassination attempts too, bucko."

That would certainly be the quickest route to nationwide gun control
Trump enacted some of the first gun control since the assault weapons ban. I'm pretty sure he said something like take their guns first then justify it latter during the summer of unrest.
