tbf Fallout wasn’t good. I cashed out after the 2nd episode
It's no The Last of Us but in terms of video game adaptations it's arguably one of the better ones on the account of it not being completely horrible with the source material.
I agree with all that. I think TLoU being more story driven made for a great adaption. I’m sure there are many factors but videogame movies just seem to be low hanging revenue streams for the industry. It’s easier to make a parkour movie than a menus movie
It gets better as it goes. Had mild interest and was pretty hooked around 4 or so
It was the opposite for me. The first episode was great, 2-3 were fine/good, and then it was just downhill from there. Overall, I didn't like the first season (iirc, my final score for the season was 4/10).
I'd still check out a season 2, but maybe not 3+ unless 2 really improves things.
I can see where the praise comes from though, I'm just adding my opinion as a reminder that it isn't universally praised.
Oh yeah, it is overrated. Whenever I hear people talk about it they gush like it's the best thing ever, as an enjoyer I'd give it a 6 or 7
Same here... That "fight" in the second episode was just so goofy and slow. It felt like they were already padding the runtime
Have you played Fallout? I'd say it felt pretty accurate to the game, combat takes a backseat to story and hoarding.
I was sold the second the dude wiped his dick on the curtain.
Michael Rappaport as a Paladin of the Brotherhood of Steel was a bit odd, other than that the series was pretty good imo.
I've played 3 and NV. My complaint just now was that the fight was drawn out too long at the sacrifice of story... Like they were stalling for time
