Look, I’m not trying to make a dig about Trump’s age, because I’m not about that ageism.

But he is 78, and with the things he’s been saying lately… is he going senile?

He thinks people didn’t know Kamala’s black until recently (despite her “that girl was me” zinger in 2020, about segregated bussing). He thinks people don’t know Kamala’s last name.

Is it just him who can’t remember, because he’s losing his memory?

I don't think it's just senility. He's *been showing signs of frontotemporal dementia for a while. Have you ever seen one of his interviews from the 90s? Still a terrible man, but at least he was coherent.

Statnews ran an article on it back in 2017^[1] highlighting his already then clear mental decline, noting as an example that in the 80s and 90s:

...Trump fluently peppered his answers with words and phrases such as “subsided,” “inclination,” “discredited,” “sparring session,” and “a certain innate intelligence.” He tossed off well-turned sentences such as, “It could have been a contentious route,” and, “These are the only casinos in the United States that are so rated.” He even offered thoughtful, articulate aphorisms: “If you get into what’s missing, you don’t appreciate what you have”
