Interesting, how can I follow/comment on that stream from Lemmy? I tried searching for the link in the search bar but that didn't work
It's basically like a Hubzilla channel which, in turn, is somewhat like a Friendica account. Which, again, is very vagely like a Mastodon account.
To my best knowledge, you can't follow individual accounts outside the Threadiverse on Lemmy.
In addition, (streams) has recently switched to decentralised IDs as per FEP-ef61. This could be the reason why Lemmy can't find my (streams) channels, but it can find my Hubzilla channels: It doesn't understand DIDs.
I see, thanks!
Do you though?
I see it's not compatible with Lemmy ๐
That's enough for me.
We can create a community together if you want to
I really shouldn't and meme communities can be a bit hectic but it is a bit niche so should be manageable and, having thought about it, I think it would work. So, yeah, do it!
To be honest I'm also hesitating as they might be quite hectic to mod. I might post tomorrow on !fedigrow@lemm.ee to see if other people would be interested, I guess it would need around 5 mods just to be sure
You and me to start, advertise for more. Should be fine. It is a niche meme community.
Memes can get viral very fast, 50 comments on the one I posted on !fediverselore@lemmy.ca , we would probably get a lot more on a dedicated meme community federated to the major instances
Your call. I'll keep an eye out for progress.
