Isn't Al Gore vs Bush an even better example?
If you ignore Katherine Harris and the Brooks Brothers Rioters shutting down the recount
Gore was slatted to win Florida until the SCOTUS ruled to end the recount and hand the election to Bush.
It is, however, interesting that the center folding and letting the right trample them is casually being present as the fault of the left. I sure hope it's not a preview of the next month or 48.
Meh - as I've been saying recently, it's clear the left (and I'm including anyone progressive and left of them) has no future now in either party. R destroyed themselves, Democrats are welcoming the rats who are finally willing to denounce Trump, and now we're going to have the conservative party ( D ) and the batshit crazy party ( R ).
Progressives and leftists can apparently go eat a bag of dicks now, and I expect to be dead of old age before we see any kind of momentum in that area again.
