Reddit changed their minds, do a half step back - RIF can access Reddit but doesn't accept login (lemmy.world)

Seems that someone at Reddit decided to grant read access to RIF, this morning I opened the app just for kicks and it wouldn't load anything. Well I tried again after lunch (Europe CET time) and it could access the front page but I was logged out. Trying to login shows a different logon page and even with valid credentials gives out a 'Bad request' response.

That means they are not just feeling the heat, they are probably burning really bad.

Interesting. Though without my sub reddits it feels just like classic social media; force fed.

For what it's worth you can still put your favorite subs in the sidebar by starring them and have easy access. Honestly lurking with rif is a much better experience than using the first party app

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if I will try that just yet. It would be nice to hear from the creator of RIF and see if he condones any of this.
