There's a lot of stuff that you can't even buy now.
They should just remove the DRM from all streaming services. The fact that new TV shows can be downloaded within minutes of airing is a good indicator that it doesn't work for its intended purpose. It just makes me find another source since I can't watch them using my preferred browser and operating system.
Just add another digit and watch the entire country break down because they can't find someone to update their 40+ year old software written in COBOL.
You can do almost anything with a website that you could do with an app. The only reason they are pushing the apps so hard is because they can collect a lot more data than a website can.
It would have been nice if they came up with something shorter like .lan.
This is why you don't buy any hardware that requires "the cloud" to function with no option to self host. At least they are giving refunds this time, but that's usually not the case.
Discord keeps getting used for things it shouldn't be used for like tech support. I will be glad when it dies. Don't hide your support behind a platform that can't be searched from the web. It's not a replacement for forums and issue trackers.
How about feet of IBM punch cards?
A 1 foot tall stack holds 1,647,360 bits of data if all 80 columns are used. If only 72 columns are used for data then it's 1,482,624 bits of data and the remaining columns can be used to number each card so they can be put back in order after the stack is dropped.
Touch screens should not be used for any controls needed to operate a car. You can't use them without taking your eyes off the road.
Why the hell does a vending machine need a facial recognition camera to "activate the purchasing interface"?
There should just be a set of buttons to select what you want and a window so you can see what items are available.
If the content is not stored locally and DRM free, then you don't own it. Don't pay for content that you can't own. 🏴☠️

If you buy thunderbolt cables, they support everything. If you look at the cost of those cables, you will see why not all USB cables support every feature. They are also limited to 1 meter without active circuitry, which will make them even more expensive.
