This is an interesting article so the downvotes are puzzling. Are people downvoting it without reading because they disagree with Dick's claim and they assume the article gives it credence? Or because Dick's theory is so wacky it doesn't deserve attention?
Probably because it has almost nothing to do with hacking.
The only connection I can make is that Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep popularized cyberpunk. That or we need to know he's a (bad) snitch?
How the fuck did he join the side of the dystopians? Half of his books are about what happens when authority and capital gets too much power and he's out there writing the FBI after every bad trip Q_Q
