As a Swiss - no, this is sadly still not really contested by any parties besides greens and socialists. Maybe some singular politicians from center and center-right, but our government made it very clear that they still intend to buy the jets.

Classic, "notice us being logical/moral/emphatic/anti fascism" PR messaging while the deal's already been made or is certain, so that they can go "we tried" rhetoric later.

America has become a cancer to the world.
America was always a cancer to global geopolitics. Every super power in history has been, exerting their will on the rest of the world and committing crimes against humanity. They were just better than the alternatives, but the collapse of the empire has been an elephant in the room for multiple decades.
It's so sad that this has to be repeated every time. Like all of the atrocities when they were best friends never mattered in the slightest. It's only after the tariffs, they're showing their real face. Like wut?
