Just got my heltec v4 in the mail and the meshtastic web flasher isn't working for some reason. It has never had an issue flashing any of my v3s in the past. Maybe the newness of the hardware makes setup a bit more fiddly since I'm sure my usb c cable is a data cables.

Nah the internet sucks no matter where you live. That cottage with a closed network or something like Secure Scuttlebutt/Manyverse in a little village would be cool though. The town library can have gigabit internet (for downloading media) and a shared local Jellyfin (& calibre, Navidrome, audiobookshelf, etc) server that can be accessed by anyone in town.

There's something to be said about the ease of access and personal energy needed to deal with changing a diet that has been inherited by birth where the alternative is possibly much more expensive.
