Yeah! Remembrance is not a violation!

CW for nazi imagery

My latest hypothesis is that in certain instances, “dead/death” referenced spiritually dead (eating from the tree of life, dead bury the dead), and the reason his teachings not being for those who didn’t understand the parables is because those people had hardened their hearts (empty cups), and hadn’t done the spiritual work (being spiritually alive) to understand.

Oh yeah, that was one of the things that got resolved to "hell" is not a place, but more of a state of being, or rather not being anymore. How atheists view death.

Well the "Jesus is not a vegan" is of course a bit of a caricature. More broadly, genesis talks about giving "mankind dominion over animals" for example. God drowns all the animals except two for mankinds sins? Seven if they're "holy"? Being kinda speciesist there bestie... Not to mention the hell did those animals that got drowned do?? But the thing I'm most hung up on atm is after Jesus death him appearing at the shore and telling his disciples to cast their nets on the right side, them murdering a christillion of fish and coming to shore to Jesus already having the fire to roast them lit. Got me going "Not my savior 😤" in only a half-joking way to be real.

Oh I've been dialectical about my faith in many ways. I grew up in a majority muslim country so having to "defend" or rather explain my faith has been at the core of it from the very start. Synthesising two theses gives me great joy and so I definitely understand your point about having to irrevocably change it. Creationism, The bible as the word of god being the two largest, LGBTQ+ acceptance of course and some other ones likely. I'm currently on the Jesus was not a vegan bend. This one is pretty tough I've gotta say 😅

I'm not that deeply versed into it, the "sun" analogy gets used a lot nowadays, but sabellius himself was excommunicated for supposedly opposing trinity or something idk I don't really understand it tbh

What about the ones who were born there, had no choice in the matter, and don’t have any other citizenship?

That's up to the people who's land it is.

And how does one “integrate” into a society governed by an organization committed to one’s extermination?

No such palestinian organization exists.

It literally is though.

It literally isn't.

Not true for christians either. There is the holy trinity, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit but they are seen as different expressions of the one god, not three gods merged into one.

because there is a difference between "From the wolga to the rhine germany will be free", and the settlers being forced back to the west of the Oder.

It's not a problem until I experienced it

[-] mathemachristian@lemmy.ml 17 points 3 days ago

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. A lot of the times the choice nowadays when about getting involved in something is whether it's worth your privacy. Which alienates from hobbies, causes, organizing, all the stuff that people do related to "touching grass". And lets not kid ourselves, even a lot of the stuff we want to do in our free time that is the opposite of "touching grass" requires discord.

oh if we replace the words in your sentence the meaning changes to something antisemitic

Bullshit. As if "Mossad" is not synonymous with dystopian surveillance... This is very clearly not alluding to an "Elders of Zion" conspiracy theory but the Mossad being one of the most aggressive surveillance agency's of the west which is common knowledge.

You saying the Occupation Regime Of West Palestine is a stand-in for Jewish people worldwide is what's antisemitic. Having to tip-toe around "antisemitism" is how the zionists want us to dilute and tone-down our criticisms. Yes the right wingers use "Israel" as a stand-in for jews and a lot of their dog-whistles sound very similar to legitimate criticisms, that's the whole point of dogwhistles. Lets make sure that our stance is clear and firm.

Fedditors not beating the zionist allegations anytime soon.

Except for all those communities that require it if you want to get involved.

I think there is an issue with ani.social federation, namely that the instance is linked as http//ani.social (notice the missing colon). When looking at the list at https://lemmy.ml/instances hovering over ani.social, the name appears correct, that is, with the colon present, but the link itself doesn't contain it.

I noticed this because an ani.social users comments on a post don't show up on lemmy.ml but they do on blahaj.

In short

I got a reply from a prolific anti-vegan troll and referred them back to an earlier conversation we had. Got banned for "harassment" and "following someone around" when in fact they replied to me and keep following vegans around when they post against anti-vegan propaganda.

The 14-day ban and comment removals by @aeronmelon@lemmy.world: https://lem.lemmy.blahaj.zone/modlog/45638?page=1&actionType=All&modId=6106918&userId=18352111

And the posts in question:

The comments when I posted them rendered as

Oh hey its you

The link is to a discussion which expanded is this here (The link goes to the comment with the highlighted star):

With background

The person in question is a very dedicated anti-vegan troll who is known to make non-sequitur claims as replies to vegans, in the hopes of roping then into a defensive position under the guise of "debate".

To exemplify this I engaged with them a couple months ago and got a perfect showcase of their behaviour. I had never used this and have never replied to them since then (at least I don't remember that I have and searching didn't turn anything up). But then when they replied to me yesterday I did. And got promptly banned for "harassment" and "following someone around". I messaged the mod who banned me to no reply.

Their behaviour is being enabled by lemmy.world mods like @aeronmelon@lemmy.world who will readily delete comments made by vegans should they dare step a foot outside of the norms of "civilized debate", like e.g. in the same thread (1) and (2). The petulant and incessant trolling by them is of course never subject to such moderation actions.

To any vegan comrades, do not engage this troll, you risk getting banned and your comments deleted.

Apparently I used wrong account to post this. Will have to switch accounts to my blahaj account on occasion to reply to comments, apologies.

My main account got banned from a couple of communities for wrongthink so now I have to suffer their posts without even being able to try to offer a different perspective. But the block community button is not above the sidebar where it normally is. Can I still block those communities somehow?
