A project space in East London is preparing a series of events and an exhibition of artistic works, films, texts, and other artefacts broadly relating to the aesthetics of conspiracy and conspiracy theory.

We are interested in hearing from artists whose practices are concerned with conspiracy and conspiracy theory and refer directly to particular current or historical conspiracies, as well as works which consider conspiracy theories as affective structures for knowing. How might the “truth of art” address “post-truth” public domains? The project aims to understand and share with audiences the aesthetic forms of conspiracy manifest in contemporary art practices, as well as the failure of mainstream arts and media institutions to address conspiracy theorising.

We are agnostic about the content and attitude of any conspiracy theorising artists may pursue, historic, recent, or ongoing. Covid-truthers are welcome to respond to the call alongside those whose work debunks anitvax conspiracy theories. We are interested in political, social, scientific, psychological, and personal conspiracies. The intended outcome of this call is a presentation of works in the form of an exhibition and an event series unfolding between October 2024 and January 2025 in London. The location and further details will be shared with applicants. There is no submission fee. The project cannot offer honoraria or production budgets.

Works in all media are welcome.

We are also happy to hear about work in progress.

-I tried a new style based on a DeviantArt artist who draws fluffy dragons. Ryumori and Tsukiishi (Children of my selfship) in their beast forms, part dragon from their father and wolf from their mother. uwu I've wanted to draw them like this for a while, but I could never decide on the fur patterns and the hybrid form itself.

Cross-posted from ""Look up": A panel from my comic" by @jjj@lemmy.blahaj.zone in !art@lemmy.blahaj.zone

I drew this panel for my MSPFA Failbent a day or so ago. It's the first large scale outdoor panel I've made and I'm overall really happy with the background at least.

I'm not so sure about the trees' texture/density/etc. It's supposed to be in a dream so I guess I can write it off...

Drawn with GIMP.

Hi everyone. In my previous post, I sent you a logo design and asked, "Does it look like a mouse?" After that post, I realized that the nose didn't resemble a ink pen tip at all. Therefore, after removing the ears, my first task was to try and make the nose look more like a pen tip. Personally, it looks too short; maybe I'll draw the logo from scratch. What do you think? Do you think it's too short?

Hi everyone, this is my first post on Lemmy, so please excuse any mistakes.
I'm working on a logo to make my Lemmy account more aesthetically pleasing; it will be my profile picture. As the name suggests, the theme of my logo is a mouse and ink. I've almost finished the nose part. I can say that I struggled quite a bit with this project I created using Canva, as I don't have pro skills. Since I didn't want to use pre-made assets, I resorted to overlapping geometric shapes. To be honest, it was very difficult. The problem is, no matter who I show this to, almost everyone sees a Ram or a Goat. I intended it to be a Mouse.

What exactly does this look like, and what can I do to make it look like a mouse?

Thanks you for reading.

I have a XPPEN Deco mini 7 v2, and after finishing a drawing session (doesn't matter if it is a long one, or a 10 min ) my head is just killing for some time. While using it i get this sweet poking feeling in the upper front of my brain(it's the same place i get the headache after turning off the tablet). If you've ever had these symptomps and you found a better product let me now. (I had the same symptoms using bluetooth small earphones)

New art, "Last Light". All made in Blender, composited with RapidRAW.

Took around 50 hours in total, with a stonking 12hr render time and maxing out all 24GB VRAM 😅 but at least the rendering kept my flat warm.

Made with True-Terrain, True-Sky, True-VDB and the KitBash3D Valhalla asset pack.

Always keen for feedback to help me improve - would love to hear your thoughts, positive or negative.

Photoshop it's pretty damn expensive nowadays so I had to cancel my subscription a year and half ago due to specific circumstances I was in. For as much as I like to lie to myself about it, nothing gets close to how good it is. Photopea is kinda good but 20 layers in and the whole machine starts begging for mercy, gimp plain sucks, tried few open source/selfhostable alternatives and nothing takes the cake.

Anyone know of any valid alternative? I may need to start giving my money back to Adobe after all.

All images were made by myself, from the ground up, using various pixabay/envato elements images, there's a layer by layer video of the first one, some layers are grouped so it feels like an image is being dumped in, I just made it a while back to explain the process to somebody and it's still on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQWMuSFkTOQ

There's also similar videos on my instagram page fccview it's not very active, no need for follows, just giving as much info as possible to understand the process ♥️

Hope you like them :)
