A project space in East London is preparing a series of events and an exhibition of artistic works, films, texts, and other artefacts broadly relating to the aesthetics of conspiracy and conspiracy theory.

We are interested in hearing from artists whose practices are concerned with conspiracy and conspiracy theory and refer directly to particular current or historical conspiracies, as well as works which consider conspiracy theories as affective structures for knowing. How might the “truth of art” address “post-truth” public domains? The project aims to understand and share with audiences the aesthetic forms of conspiracy manifest in contemporary art practices, as well as the failure of mainstream arts and media institutions to address conspiracy theorising.

We are agnostic about the content and attitude of any conspiracy theorising artists may pursue, historic, recent, or ongoing. Covid-truthers are welcome to respond to the call alongside those whose work debunks anitvax conspiracy theories. We are interested in political, social, scientific, psychological, and personal conspiracies. The intended outcome of this call is a presentation of works in the form of an exhibition and an event series unfolding between October 2024 and January 2025 in London. The location and further details will be shared with applicants. There is no submission fee. The project cannot offer honoraria or production budgets.

Submission:

Works in all media are welcome.

We are also happy to hear about work in progress.

Anonymous or pseudonymous submissions are acceptable.

Please indicate the key interests of your proposed work in response to the outline above and submit materials relevant to your proposal in a form appropriate to your practice by.

I tested Procreate for iPad. I have no prior experience in drawing other than art lessons in school, so I was plesently suprised on how well the image turned out. Of course it was inspired by Bob Ross.

Another fruit fishy has arrived! It’s so cute and round, I’d snuggle it to sleep if I could… Maybe one day I’ll make a plushie of it 🐟

Working on a likeness sculpt of Dean Winchester/Jensen Ackles, from the show Supernatural. I believe it's come along nicely, but I would love some feedback, and please, feel free to tear it apart!

This is my first ever comic in procreate. I'll post screenshots in a separate post because I barely know how to use technology, I can draw and that's it. :') I'm doin my best.

This is a fan art of sorts, my headcanon of Alice (from Alice in Wonderland) grown up and living life happily somewhere in an unknown timeline with Patel. I want to do more comics about them, and more art in general. Happy Transgender Awareness Month. 🏳️‍⚧️
