Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling to publish anything on Reddit. Every time I try to make a post, it either gets blocked, removed, or I get an error saying my account is restricted. I even tried creating a new account, but the same thing happens. Sometimes it also shows a message about “bad connection to the server,” even though my internet works fine.

So I wanted to ask:

  • What’s the proper way to post on Reddit without getting flagged or blocked?

  • Are there specific steps or tips to make sure a post gets approved by moderators?

  • Could this be an account issue on my side, or just Reddit being buggy?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share.

Thanks in advance!

They auto-translated Original Poster as Původní plakát where "plakát" does mean "poster" but only the kind that you hang on a wall.

Another win for auto translation.

Am I right? I just read three Reddit posts. Their formats and writing styles are so similar as if someone just used ChtGpt to mass produce posts

They must be desperate for us to shut the fuck up about the state of things!

The Duality of Reddit (sh.itjust.works)

On a thread about Germans not wanting to "fight for their country", some blames the rich, while this one idiot decides to become a nationalistic xenophobe. 🤦‍♂️

I unthinkingly said "Remember to punch a [not see] if you see one, and have a great day." But, I spelled it out. (I don't want to get banned here, too, because I dunno if that's disallowed here, too.)

Yeah, I know, I just wasn't thinking, and said what was in my heart.

Oh well.

Reddit wants me to shut up, but my late dad would be proud of me, and that's what matters most.

Reddit is going to be leaning even harder into search in the coming months. The company has already been working on a plan to integrate its LLM-powered search into its main search feature, but CEO Steve Huffman said he wants users to think of the site as an actual search engine.

During the company's latest earnings call, Huffman said search is one of the top priorities for Reddit. "We're concentrating our resources on the areas that will drive results for our most pressing needs, improving the core product, making Reddit a go-to search engine, and expanding internationally."

The idea of reddit as a search engine isn't that far-fetched. Many people are already in the habit of adding "Reddit" to traditional searches in the hopes of finding relevant threads from the site. And the company has been trying to take advantage of this with its own AI-powered search product Reddit Answers. Though that feature is still labeled as being in "beta," the company plans to eventually add it to its default search bar.

I put "Reddit employee" in quotation marks because they're giving the vibe that they're praising that website so much.

It used to be posts made to PCMR about Macs were pretty reliable. The whole thread would be users mocking the post and shitting on Macs. To say that PCMR was no friend of Mac users has been an exercise in understatement since Reddit's inception.

Contrast the old reality with this thread posted today and I defy you to deny that Reddit has been nearly completely overtaken by astroturfing bots.

And I say this as a Mac LOVER, ffs.

Funny how the platform still runs on their unpaid labor, isn't it? This has a lot more to do with purging anyone that disagrees with them. They somehow can simultaneously denigrate unpaid labor and benefit from it in 2025. A shocking feat of cognitive dissonance.
