COVER Corporation announced today the company’s revised “Derivative Works Guidelines” and has added “Derivative Work Game Guideline” to the overall guidelines. Along with this revision, the Company has established “holo Indie” as an overall game brand for derivative work games, and plans on releasing “Holo Parade” as the first game title of this brand.

“Derivative Work Game Guidelines” aims to provide an ecosystem that supports the ongoing activities of the derivative work game creators, and to encourage more fans to co-create with fans and creators around the world. We aim to create opportunities to deliver a wide variety of derivative games to everyone. Additionally, as a Game Creator Support Program*1, we have decided to provide posting on Steam accounts for derivative games, and have decided to launch a new game brand "holo Indie" for derivative work games.

With this program, creators can distribute paid contents using IPs of COVER Corporation, and support continuous activities by creators making derivative works games. For more information, please refer to “Derivative Works Guidelines” and “Derivative Work Game Guidelines” on the hololive production website.

We hope that “Derivative Work Game Guidelines” and “holo Indie” will further expand the range of creators' activities.

The first demo of the new model is independently-developed HoloParade, which is coming soon™.

Depending on the Contract terms this is a pretty neat idea.

Hey this seems great news! Wonder what does Kevincow think about this, I remember him saying he tried to approach Cover for a semi-official game but didn’t get the green light in the past.

On a different note, this “HoloParade” seems… a bit messy? But maybe it’s just an impression. (Also it actually has a release date in the trailer, but I’m not sure how to read it because it says “12/1 (fri)” and both December 1st and January 12th are Fridays AAAGH)
