I think we’re fine with just calling the entire genre “retro” even for new games lol.

That's a good point. While there has been a renaissance of sorts in adventure games since the mid 2010s, it very much is a niche/retro genre.

Let's hope the move can help kickstart the community.

For sure, I was thinking more of the retrolemmy instance theme.

As I said, I don't really care, happy to contribute to the next edition of the Adventure Games community.

Is retrolemmy a good instance for adventure games?

This community covers newer adventure games as well.

It's not a big deal, I am happy to start posting on the retrolemmy community. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

And maybe it would make sense to use the Piefed migrate community function? This way we can keep all the historical posts.

Fascinating niche community. Never knew this was a thing, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Hopefully we'll have a TF2 Classic version soon without all the stupid random items and with a focus on dedicated server communities.

It feels like a complete bloodbath with the job situation in the gaming industry in the west.

The worst thing is none of the executives are getting fired (in a proper manner, no golden parachutes and clawbacks on any stock based compensation).

Huffman is just another american technology oligarch. It is in his interest to spread corruption and undermine rule of law.

Didn't he get all fucked up and miserable from all that money from the sale to MS?

This is a great game. They've managed to pull off a roguelike citybuilder; a genre combination that one would think would not work. Great visuals and atmosphere too.

From the translation of the claims, they appear to describe Pokémon-style activities, with ‘191 focused on the act of throwing a ball at characters in a field, ‘117 tied to aiming, and ‘390 on riding characters.

If this is indeed the case, the lawsuit is clearly illegitimate (in the real sense, can't speak for legal nuances). Not surprising.

Whatever the topic, it's best to avoid the opinions of videogame streamers/youtubers on matters outside of videogames.

I somehow doubt Hoyt has ever lived in Israel/Palestine, speaks Hebrew or Arabic or has ever read the Talmud, Bible or Quaran (even partially, but in a serious manner; one that provides some context on the "styling" of Abrahamic religious texts).

I haven't seen much of Hoyt's content, but the few clips I've seen seemed very low effort. If you can't even be bothered to make good content around videogames, you should definitely avoid narcissistic outbursts on serious matters.
