McDo latte (I ask for less ice) is ๐Ÿ‘. Itโ€™s sweetened already. But not all the branches have it.

Burger kingโ€™s salted caramel coffee is ๐Ÿ‘ too. I ask for less ice.

If you want Starbucks, their latte is ๐Ÿ‘. I ask for sugar and less ice.

I read that unsweetened latte or flat white is ๐Ÿ‘. I havenโ€™t found an espresso shop that has ๐Ÿ‘ unsweetened latte or flat white. I may be so :) after tasting such a drink.

Iโ€™m not a veteran espresso drinker.

Anyone here use Sync for Lemmy? This week it's so slow and has many errors for me. I went to the Sync community. I learned that other Sync users had issues too. The last update was March 2024. Had to download another app. :(

My ๐Ÿ“ฑ is the Samsung a70. I picked Voyager.

I wanted to decide whether or not I'd find Tenet great, so I watched for the 3rd time. Here are the disappointments I'm thinking about that made it less than great โ€“

  1. ~~The opera was filled with sleeping gas from those thin tanks. I think a volume that huge couldn't be filled from those thin tanks.~~ Thanks to CTDummy I'm thinking the tanks had compressed gas, the level of compression was extremely high, the gas was extremely strong and the gas was somehow spread to the target folks. I mean, evenly filling the opera was inefficient. No need to have sleeping gas at the ceiling for example.
  2. Protagonist and Neil going up to Priya's home was baloney. A contraption that safely projectile-propels a human is complex. Their small contraption was unrealistic.
  3. The launch angle was key. A small error would result in Protagonist going to the building's wall instead of the balcony. Their projectile way was theoretically extremely hard and they made it look so easy. (I'm not considering the g's. A human can only take so many g's before passing out or damaging his organs. g's have been almost always ignored in flicks. I'm OK with it.)
  4. When they went up to Priya's home, how did they brake?
  5. Protagonist knocked out some goons so easy. Even a very casual Ufc viewer knows it's not that easy to knock out someone.
  6. They must make a ๐Ÿ”ฅ to start the art vault's emergency process. Surely there was an easier way to make a ๐Ÿ”ฅ than crashing the โœˆ into the building. Also, crashing a โœˆ doesn't guarantee a big ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
  7. When the handlers of the piece of Algorithm saw the surrounding vehicles, why didn't they ask for aid? It was like they just awaited the other vehicles to squeeze their vehicle.

Of course Tenet has positive things. I don't wanna make this too long so I won't write much re the ๐Ÿ‘ things. Just wanna say that Protagonist's and Neil's friendship was so inspiring and Nolan showed it throughout Tenet sans making dramatic friendship scenes. Props to Nolan.

Collapse and Larl were ddos'ed, per Spirit. I didn't know it so I viewed this ๐Ÿ‘ explanation. I suggest you watch if you're interested.

If you want the quick info, here โ€“ A distributed denial of service is an attempt to mess with the normal ops of an online service (like a site or an app) by overwhelming it with repeated auto requests for data from many sources.

Some guessed that Doncic will score 50 or 60 versus the Mavs on the Lakers' court. I don't think so. They're his ex-mates. He has no negative feelings toward them. I think Jason Kidd wasn't part of the decision-making about the trade (it was all on the owner; he made the decision) and Doncic may be thinking that too. He has no negative feelings toward Kidd.

Lakers-Mavs on the Mavs' court in April tho. I think we'll see beast Doncic there. I hope the Mavs owner will be there so he'll clearly see Doncic's elite offense. "You don't wanna give me the $ I deserve? OK. That's all I needed."

My guesses may age like ๐Ÿฅ› tho. Let's see.

Just wanna post to share my joy. The 3 have the Snapdragon 8 elite globally. Maybe Samsung couldn't make an Exynos that was on par with the 8 elite. Props to Snapdragon. Fast and efficient. Chip improvements like this don't oft come.

If the other brands can't make a better phone, the S25 ultra will probably be the best big phone of 2025.

I use Firefox on Android 11 and Windows 11. What's the best way to bypass short links and sites that make us await a certain period of time (say, 10 seconds) before proceeding? Is it Violentmonkey + Bypass all shortlinks (debloated)?

Wanna share some of my thoughts re this. I don't wanna write a very long essay, so here are just 5 items โ€“

  1. I agree that 1 swipe down should let us alter the brightness.

  2. I'm OK with no sun icon in the brightness slider. I'll know that it's brightness even without any icon. But some may have a hard time, so adding an icon will be more user-friendly for them.

  3. Obviously Nothing didn't wanna overuse their dot matrix design. I side with Nothing on this 1. Putting it all over the os will be ๐Ÿ‘Ž for me. But beauty is subjective. Some may want the dot matrix design all over the os.

Carl Pei probably thought re the folks switching from a different Android phone or an iPhone to a Nothing phone. He probably wants the process to be as smooth as possible so the user will be satisfied. So he didn't use the dot matrix design on the icons. He said something related to this. Changing many things fast versus changing some things gradually. He said Nothing couldn't be overeager to alter stuff.

  1. Re the phone and messages apps, I wonder whether Nothing wanted the users to use the Google apps for these or Nothing is making their own now and will release those in the future.

  2. I agree that Google photos is not for everyone.

Some don't wanna have a Google account.

Google photos is cloud-storage-focused, not local-storage-focused. Some want a local-storage-focused gallery app.

Its search doesn't work offline. Some need a gallery app that works offline.

Revolutionary. Props to Youtube.

I guess Alphabet was the 1st to have the auto-generated English subtitle feature? I think Youtube is the only 1 that has Filipino now. Windows 11 and Samsung oneui have the auto-generated English subtitle feature now. I hope they'll have Filipino.

I wanted to know which Bluetooth earphones have the best mic. I found a Youtube vid. The Youtuber said the Nothing ear 2 have the best mic. Then I viewed Mike O'Brien's Nothing ear 2 review. ๐Ÿ‘ mic, per his review.

The Nothing ear 2 are about โ‚ฑ 8200 on Shopee and Lazada and about โ‚ฑ 5900 on amazon.co.jp. :o

I hope Nothing will offer that 5900 deal here.

If he did conduct illegal lotteries, what a ๐Ÿ’ฉ way to treat your viewers, many of whom were kids, seemingly. He said something like "The 10th buyer in the next 5 min will win 30000." right? Did those winners get their prizes? If no, it was a scam.

The ๐Ÿ’ค deprivation was inhuman. The running thing was cruel.

He's an ex-worker at Jimmy's firm. If everything he said is false, it's an easy defamation lawsuit for Jimmy versus him. He dug his own grave. I think he wasn't dumb to do that. The points he made made sense to me, except the legal stuff. I'm not an attorney. Anyway, we haven't heard Jimmy's side.

[-] drawerair@lemmy.world 42 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I think Dogpack is brave. Jimmy and his attorneys can cook up a worthless lawsuit to hurt Dogpack financially. Jimmy is so rich legal expenses won't be problematic. While Dogpack may have a hard time with legal expenses, I think.

It's like Logan Paul versus Coffeezilla. Logan is so rich; Coffeezilla isn't.

I like that the writer thought re climate change. I think it's been 1 of the biggest global issues for a long time. I hope there'll be increasing use of sustainable energy for not just data centers but the whole tech world in the coming years.

I think a digital waiter doesn't need a rendered human face. We have food ordering kiosks. Those aren't ai. I think those suffice. A self-checkout grocer kiosk doesn't need a face too.

I think "client help" is where ai can at least aid. Imagine a firm that's been operating for decades and encountered so many kinds of client complaints. It can feed all those data to a large language model. With that model responding to most of the client complaints, the firm can reduce the number of their client support people. The model will pass the complaints that are so complex or that it doesn't know how to address to the client support people. The model will handle the easy and medium complaints; the client support people will handle the rest.

Idk whether the government or the public should stop ai from taking human jobs or let it. I'm torn. Optimistically, workers can find new jobs. But we should imagine that at least 1 human will be fired and can't find a new job. He'll be jobless for months. He'll have an epic headache as he can't pay next month's bills.

I'm doubtful. I wanna hear more from security experts.

What do you mean? When I lurk here, I ignore the sites that Idk. I rely on sites that I know are legit like Verge, Techcrunch, Engadget, Cnbc, Bloomberg, Ars Technica and Electrek. The sites that Idk may be legit too but I don't wanna spend much time researching the legitimacy.

When I think of Instagram, I think of selfies, food pics, landscapes, pet pics and other pretty pics.

Political feuds online can be nasty right? There are long toxic conversations. Folks spend much time arguing on the platform. Meta likes that long session. But it seems Meta is promoting positivity? Seems Meta wants a long positive session.

Obviously they didn't do a Wi-fi intensity study.

[-] drawerair@lemmy.world 88 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

The moral is โ€“ Wi-fi intensity study should be part of modern architecture.

I'm all for ๐Ÿ‘ architecture. Just consider Wi-fi before building it.

For this structure, I wonder if the best solution is โ€“ Just add more mesh points. Not elegant but what if there's no better way?
