emotionally, i want to say any and everything including my life, but i know that is merely talk until i have something deadly to face. however, i truly believe there isn't a single human rights issue not deserving of risking it all. but i am cowardly because i am fearful and insecure. i don't believe in myself although i try to. i have given up personal comforts for those i don't know and my friends, but am i ready to face something as severe as prison or being sent to a camp? i want to say "yes, of course," but.. idk. i know if our culture became more radical and revolutionary then i would feel ideological support from those around me and would be more willing to engage.

Nothing because there is nothing guaranteeing the better world would remain intact.

I'd give it 3-4 generations...

Freedom to Breed. Easy for me, because I don't plan on having kids ever and I don't really think it is a good idea to be having kids if you're unable to sustain them much less, yourself.

If a better world means we have to limit the amount of people we bring in here until everything chills the fuck out, so be it. There is absolutely no reason or benefit to bring in 3 - 12 kids at a given.

Merge mind. That it.

I want all people on earth link their mind, to become one.

Because most of hardship, miserable i had in my life was cause by another.

If we link our mind, each each of a "body" as our own, they we are much better happy and archived more than what we are now.

So you'd sacrifice individuality? That's a good scifi one.

If The internet gets good enough with chips in our head and everything. I guess that's what we'd basically have. Access to each other's memories and senses. Just ghosts and an internet of flesh

Would you sacrifice your flesh? No more body. Brain slurped out at birth, wired up to the internet.

[-] SurfinBird@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago

You’re not doing a very good job of selling it, but the concept has merit.

[-] m532@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 2 months ago

Probably not, that sounds dangerous

Would you sacrifice your sex hormones? No more estrogen or testosterone.

Sometimes I sit down and muse about the great world we could create if everything was owned by the state, only approved speech was allowed, if only the best people were allowed to reproduce and everyone was only allowed to think approved thoughts. Like to get my Utopia I am even willing to subject an innocent child to a life of constant suffering and misery...

I don't think a better world would include sacrificing those freedoms actually. That's some tankie shit.

[-] m532@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 months ago

Me sitting in a tank: "hand over your freedums, in exchange you get freedom"
