Got rid of the splint on my leg yesterday and swapped to an orthopedic walking boot. Over the day I was able to start walking without crutches and I'm the happiest man around having some real mobility again ♥️

4k steps yesterday, which is ~3 times more than 2 weeks average.

Next week starting rehab and training that operated leg again!

100 burpees with no break in under 10 minutes, plus 14 "commando" burpees. Feeling pretty good.

It's been a rough road with fitness this year. Sprained my wrist which took me out of action for quite a while and then went away. Came back and could barely stand after my first gym session. This week I did almost my full routine again and could feel that my body has mostly re adapted so I'm officially back on the gym train! Feels great and can't wait to start making progress again.

At my bouldering gym, I managed another "squirrel" route. It's my fourth ever!

The gym uses animals to rate the routes. Squirrel is approximately a V5/6 or a 5.12.

I just started going to the gym for the first time 2 weeks ago.

First day I said "I'll do some dumbells. Where should I start? 50lbs?"

Mistake.

I kept sizing down on that first day until I could find something that I could lift on each arm for 20 reps. Then I take a 5 minute break. And do another 20.

I had to keep sizing down until I got to 10. By the middle of the week I got to 15.

And then this past week I got to 20.

I tried the 25, but tapped out around 13 reps. So not there yet. Maybe this week.

Steady progression with push ups. Doing 100 for one day each week (along with other gym visits) and it keeps getting easier. I wish I could say the same for pull ups.

Took a day off from the gym yesterday, which was needed, and kind of a win in itself.

But the real win was noticing that I missed working out, and being excited to get down the gym today.

I'm so happy to have built this habit to a point that it's something I genuinely miss if I don't go.
